Updated On:
Want to add more feminine flair to your free time? Here are 13 charming feminine hobbies that’ll help you embrace your softer side.

All work and no play makes Jill a dull girl!
Is the scenario quite the same with you? Constantly managing the work/academic burden with zero time to look at yourself?
Come on, sweetheart, life is too precious not to spend on something creative and engaging.
Btw no, I’m not asking you to dump your commitments and get going with fancy hobbies. All I’m asking you is to spare some time for yourself during free hours and get involved in something that excites you.
So what are some lovely feminine hobbies that can take care of the happy hormones? Here’s a list of my favorite 13.
The Only Feminine Hobbies List You’ll Ever Need
1. How About Some Baking?

One of the finest hobbies you can go for is cake baking! It serves two purposes: help you spend your free time on something productive and you get something that soothes your taste buds. You could go for baking cookies as well, whichever you like better.
If you’re completely new to this, the beginning could be messy. But after all, we learn from our mistakes, right? So say goodbye to your worries and get started with your apron and essentials for some delicious baking time!
2. Handcrafts
Do you love stitching? Are you into DIY or any kind of handmade art? If so, handcrafts have to be your go-to option during your leisure hours. That’s an amazing way to spend your time in creativity.
Whether you’re new to the space or restarting it after a gap, you’re gonna love the craft sessions; the glues, scissors, papers scattered here and there, little untidiness, a bit of mistakes, and so on. But, the end product will be worth it! You’ll look at it in amazement thinking, “Ghosh, did I really make that?”
3. Gardening is Pleasing

Does the thought of having a beautiful garden in your house excite you? If yes, why not give gardening a try in your time off?
Initially, it might seem a little tiring, but youโll eventually fall in love with this hobby as you get along! Coming home after a hectic day and spending quality time amidst the green; the flower scents melting your heart as a cool breeze blows. Just the way you wanted it to be right?
4. Start Vlogging
If you’re tech-savvy and love capturing yourself, vlogging can be a great free-time mood booster. You need to be comfortable in front of the camera to get this going effortlessly.
You could pick any niche, lifestyle, fashion, cooking, everyday stories, etc. Just ensure to present the content decently because you’ll attract a larger audience that way.
5. Do Yoga

Sitting and working/studying for long hours regularly might take a toll on your emotional and physical well-being. So, to break free from such a sedentary lifestyle, yoga could be a wonderful hobby.
A few years ago, upon one of my friend’s suggestions, I started yoga, and believe me when I say this; it will be the most addictive hobby if you get to like it.
Yoga sessions are usually held early in the morning. Early exercise and timely meals give you exactly what you need to have an energetic start and stay cheerful for the rest of the day.
FYI: Studies have found that practicing yoga improves sleep, increases self-esteem, and helps manage anxiety and stress.[2]
6. Cooking Classes
Someone else cooking for you is great, but you are cooking yourself some tasty delicacies! How amazing is that? You can even enroll in a particular cooking class like Chinese, Mexican, or anything else that you love.
Research shows cooking has a direct connection with emotional wellness and mitigates psychological distress.[1] So if you’re stressed out from the regular tiring schedules, maybe it’s time to take a little pause and pursue this wonderful hobby. Taking care of both your emotional health and stomach is important, isn’t it?
7. Journaling

If you’re a reserved person and don’t like opening up too much to the outside world, you can try out journaling. It’s a great way to vent your thoughts, to let your emotions flow.
A few years back, I was going through a breakup and it was challenging for me to cope with everything or to express something to anyone. So, every night I’d sit and journal my thoughts which gave me a sense of relief.
No matter how overwhelmed you’re feeling, jotting down your thoughts can help feel a little better.
8. How About Blogging?
If you love turning ideas into words, it’s high time to consider blogging as your hobby. It opens the door to many possibilities: writing down your thoughts, raising your voice, guiding people in a particular niche, and more.
Imagine having your own blog and eventually, it has a huge audience from all over the world. ๐ So many people will know you and read your stories. You might even be invited to speak at blogging conferences someday. Even if none of it happens, you’ll at least have a place to share your emotions.
9. Some Makeup Makes You Feel Good

Ladies and makeup go hand in hand. No, I’m not trying to put any gender stereotype here, just saying what has been going on since time immemorial.
So, if you love to put yourself in new glam looks, and mascara and eyeliners are your thing, makeup and skincare should be your go-to options.
Did you like the recent look of a celebrity? Try recreating that. Have a new look in mind? Try putting it on. And when you look in the mirror, I’m sure you’ll be thrilled to see your makeup sense.
During my free time, I too spend some time with makeup and really get an amazing feeling. I even help my friends and colleagues with their make-up needs. ๐
10. Learn a New Language
In my last semester at the University, I enrolled in Russian classes. Initially, I was scared that lessons would exhaust me but eventually, I fell in love with the journey.
I learned a lot about the language and can speak a little as well. Even today, when I’m not working on my client projects or taking a power nap, I pick up my Russian books and revise the lessons.
So, if you want to pursue a hobby that has interesting lessons and helps you learn a new skill, enrolling in a foreign language class is worth it. Learning the alphabet, sounds, speech, and everything about a new language from scratch is really exciting.
11. Food Tasting

If you are a foodie and love to explore new dishes, you can try this hobby. Try a new item every week either in a cafรฉ/restaurant or something new simply made in your kitchen. And yes, I won’t recommend too many oily items because that’s unhealthy for you.
I started food tasting about a year back. I’ve always been an Indian cuisine lover. So one day, I decided to taste an Italian dish and it has been my favorite ever since. Well, you might experience something similar and discover a new favorite item for yourself.
12. Nail Art
Nail art is very much in trend these days and learning this wonderful art is sure to calm your puzzling mind.
Beginning could be difficult but once you’ve got your hands on it, there’s no looking back. You no longer need to run to the salon to get those beautiful nails, you will be a master at it! Plus, you could even help your friends and colleagues with your expertise.
13. Go Swimming
Swimming is another great idea and comes with ample benefits: a full body workout, better cardiovascular health, improves mood and helps control stress.[3] And of course, thatโs a life skill that everyone should master.
So, if youโre planning to invest in something exciting, playful, and productive at the same time, this is what you might consider.
One of my friends, Vina, enrolled in swimming classes as a hobby when she was 19. And do you know where she is right now? She is a 3-times state champion now and preparing for the nationals. Big things come when you start from scratch.
Wrapping Up
Sweetie, time to wrap up.
Life’s beautiful moments often hide in those little free hours we get. And now you know exactly how to make them special.
Your hobby doesn’t need to be perfect. What matters is how happy it makes you feel! So pick one (or maybe two ๐) from this list and get started.
Let me know in the comments which hobby caught your eye. Can’t wait to hear your stories.
